“Cake 4 kids” Flower Cake


Hi everyone! For the past couple of days, I have been working on a cake for the organization I volunteer for called Cake 4 Kids. It is a non profit organization that gives free cakes to at risk children  and orphans. When I found out about this, I thought that it was really sweet.  I attended an orientation and officially became a volunteer.

So, I recently made my first cake for a little girl’s 2nd birthday.  She requested a flower cake but did not specify any flavor, so I made a 2 layer 9in.  chocolate cake with a vanilla buttercream filling and covered it with  purple fondant. For the center of the cake I made a button flower along with small flowers for the name. I also added a ball border on the bottom of the cake with hot pink fondant. I really enjoyed making this cake and I hope it will make the little girl happy.
