Cake 4 Kids #7 -Harry Potter Book Cake

Last week I made another cake for Cake 4 Kids.

This cake turned out to be one of my most favorite cakes I have ever made! I had so much fun making this cake! The cake I made was …..*drum roll*……….

A Harry Potter themed book cake!

If you don’t know already, I have a huge obsession over the Harry Potter books, so when I found out that this cake was requested to be Harry Potter themed, I immediately volunteered to make this cake!

I looked at many pictures of Harry Potter themed cakes and I came across a cake that looked like a book, and I thought that was a really good idea so I incorporated a few Harry Potter objects as well.

This cake was a small 2 layer rectangle cake that I covered with chocolate brown and white fondant.

All of the decorations including the scarf, glasses, and wand were made with fondant by me.

  4. I just found your Blog today while looking at another Blog ( – She’d mentioned you for an award), and decided to look around. I wanted to see what kind of things a 13 (now that you’re 14, you might wanna change that 😉 year old bakes, and this was the first post I looked at. AMAZING!! I’m an adult, and I’ve never had the guts to work with fondant! This is beautiful, and I”m SO impressed!! Now I want to poke around and see what else you’ve made! 🙂 (Getting and keeping a blog going – something you may want to do later for an income – is very, very hard, but worth it once you get it going. Keep at it, and try to stay consistent so you keep your followers.) I can *definitely* see you achieving a cookbook someday! (And you could even do that now! I believe Amazon lets people put their own cookbooks up for sale on their site – and there are many sites online that let you make your cookbooks, online ebooks, for others to download. Just some information you may want someday. ha) Good luck, and I’m so glad to have found you! 🙂
