Chocolate Fudge Popsicles (refined sugar free!)

It’s summer, and here in California it can get pretty hot. In fact, some days are even too hot to use the oven. But that’s okay, cause I have a no bake summer treat that’s frozen, refined sugar free, and chocolatey! Did I mention the chocolatey part? It’s basically everything you could want in a popsicle.


Though ideal for summer, this treat would be quite yummy even in the winter time. Okay, these are probably best eaten when it’s warm, but what I’m trying to say is that these are delicious.


My brother ate about 80% of the popsicles….



These popsicles are made from coconut milk instead of regular milk, so they are almost dairy free except for the bit of organic heavy cream that I added. If you can’t find coconut milk, feel free to use regular whole milk or some other milk substitute like almond milk. I had my coconut milk refrigerated so that it was a bit thicker.

For the sweetener, I used raw unfiltered honey, but you could definitely use maple syrup instead.

The chocolatey taste (aka the best part) comes from the unsweetened cocoa powder I use.


So how did I make these yummy treats? It’s quite simple! All you have to do is add all the ingredients in a blender and simply blend. Once everything is combined, just pour into popsicle molds (here’s the one that I have).

The next part is possibly the worst … waiting! These need to freeze for 6-8 hours or overnight.



When you are ready to eat, simply run some hot water around the mold to loosen the popsicle and then they are yours to eat! These popsicles do melt a bit quicker than other popsicles, but I don’t think that’ll be such a problem considering how fast my brother ate these…

Chocolate Fudge Popsicles

Makes 6 popsicles


1 1/3 cup of refrigerated coconut milk

1/2 cup of heavy cream

1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp. of pure vanilla extract

A couple pinches of salt

6 tbs. of pure honey 


1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until combined. Add more honey if needed.

2. Pour mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for 6-8 hours or overnight.

3. Once ready to eat, take out molds and run hot tap water around mold to loosen popsicle.

4. Once popsicle is released, enjoy!
