Sofia attempting a cake concoction of juicy summer berries and a bittersweet chocolate-coffee combo? It’s more likely than you think. As the end of summer approaches, taking advantage of every blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, any-and-every-kind-of-berry has been my number one priority besides y’know, school (gotta love college application season!). And so I’ve attempted this lovely, minimalistic berry chocolate espresso cake.
Crepes have always been a favorite dish of mine whether it was eaten savory or sweet. Although I enjoy both, I think I’d prefer the sweet to the savory (surprise, surprise), so today I have brought to you my favorite whole wheat chocolate strawberry crepes!
Whenever I would go out to have a crepe, chocolate strawberry was always my go to. I just can’t resist chocolate strawberry anything, so I decided to try it out for myself and see how it turned out.
Last week was Thanksgiving which meant lots and lots of baking. During the course of three days I made multiple desserts including two birthday cakes, a whole lot of cookies, and this absolutely delicious fruit tart.
This fruit tart was sort of a last minute dessert. I knew I wanted to make some kind of tart for our Thanksgiving meal, and I just happened to spot these berries at the grocery store so I went with it. Although strawberries aren’t the most seasonally appropriate fruit, the tart was definitely a hit! (Also doesn’t it just look so pretty?!)
