Music Cake

Last week my cousins, Damin and Diya came over from Los Angeles to visit us for few days. As it was Damin’s nineteenth birthday, I decided to bake a cake for him. He really enjoys music, so I thought about making a cake with musical notes.

I made a 9 inch 2 layer red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Diya and I hand molded the music notes and letters with fondant. On the bottom of the cake we made a blue ball border and on the top of the cake a blue rope border. I covered the cake with white fondant and added the musical notes around the sides of it. Damin really liked the cake and so did everyone else at the party. And the best part was that it tasted good as well!
