Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to make a baby shower cake for my best friend’s aunt aka the talented lady who designed my logo!
This cake has been by far one of my favorite cakes to make. The mother-to-be is having twins and requested a “two peas in a pod” theme. I was ecstatic to design this cake as I’ve never done a cake for twins.
Just like last September, this year I participated in a cake competition sponsored by Cake 4 Kids (an organization I volunteer for).
This year’s cake was a lot of fun to make and it is probably one of my most favorite decorated cakes.
Last year, I had made a pink and brown owl cake that you can check out here.
This time however, I wanted to use some of my gumpaste roses to decorate the cake. So I settled on creating purple ombre ruffles and white roses dusted with a bit of purple luster dust.
