Father’s Day Strawberry & Coconut Whipped Cream Tart

Last weekend happened to be Father’s Day, so I had to of course make something for my wonderful dad.

As some of you know, my dad is gluten free, sugar free, and mostly vegan. Given these circumstances, coming up with something that he would really enjoy was a bit challenging. While searching for ideas on Pinterest, I came across a picture of a beautiful strawberry tart that came from a wonderful blogger- What Jessica Baked Next. This inspired me to make a tart like dessert.

2 Tier Smiley Face Themed Cake {Vegan}

It’s been too long since I’ve posted a decorated cake, so here’s a cake I recently made for a boy’s 1st birthday.  The cake was a two tier vegan cake with a vegan buttercream frosting.

I had a lot of fun making this cake. There were so many colors I could’ve used, but I settled on yellow, orange, blue, red, and a nice mint green. The boy’s mom wanted smiley faces incorporated into the cake without using too much yellow, so I settled on using mint green fondant as the base color for the cakes.

Almond & Vanilla Granola {Picture Tutorial}

Here is something that will make you wanting for more (I’m not even kidding)- delicious, crunchy, sweet, and flavorful almond and vanilla granola!

Yeah, it’s as good as it sounds. Probably even more.

You know the packaged granola you see every time you go to the grocery store? The ones with a million ingredients on the labels? Yup, those are no good. Not when you can make a much more tastier, AND healthier version without any preservatives.

This granola literally had me and my parents fighting over who got the last bit of it. It was that good.

Vegan Lego Cake (2 Tiers)

I don’t know about you, but I have always loved to play with Legos. First when I was younger and then later when I was older with my little brother. In fact, that was the theme of my brother’s 6th birthday cake I made for him last year.

I was so ecstatic when I got a cake order for making a Lego themed cake for a friend of my brother’s.

Raw Vegan Banana Raspberry Swirl Cake

Here’s another healthy and yummy recipe- How to make this incredibly delicious and easy RAW VEGAN Banana Raspberry Swirl cake.

IMG_4251[1]

This cake is a bit similar to my raw vegan cherry “cheese”cake that I posted not too long ago. They both have the same crust and a similar swirl look, but they both taste very different and truthfully I can’t really pick a better one. They are both packed with wonderful flavors, so I will leave that question to you. You can try out both of these desserts and let me know if you liked one better than the other, or like me you can’t pick.

But anyways, this dessert will impress any guest when they come to know that this is totally vegan and gluten-free.
